Three weeks ago, half a million views landed on Sky Peck and I made a pile of promises. My old rule from years of blogging: score your own promises in public, or stop making them.
So — report card time.
Trial invites: A. They went out. The first flock is flying, and downloads are live for Mac and Windows both. Windows even got its own honest warning label — SmartScreen will side-eye you, because I'm a new publisher, not because the parrot is malware.
Multiplayer: A, and I'm as surprised as you. This one wasn't even on the list — and it turned into Keep the Beacon, aerial tag with a server behind it. The server also grew a spine: every flight now reports its flaps, dashes, crashes, and beacon-carry seconds. That's the raw material for real rankings. More on that soon.
Family profiles: A. One license, five cloud profiles — every kid gets their own name and their own scores instead of wrecking dad's save. Shipped quietly, works loudly.
iOS: A. Apple approved it! iPhones and iPads officially join the flock. The App Store link lands here shortly — and yes, my advice from last time still applies: mirror it to the TV and plug in the charger.
VR: C. The footage I owed you is finally out — watch the Quest gameplay on YouTube. But the grade stays a C, because the controls still turn my inner ear against me, and I won't ship you my dizziness.
Art overhaul: B. The new bird and scenery are in progress with my art partner. Nothing to show yet — and I won't show renders I haven't flown.
Discord: D. I asked for a volunteer moderator and then went and built a multiplayer server instead of answering messages. If you offered — I'm sorry, and I'm listening now.
Average that out and you get a solid B student who keeps sneaking off to build things nobody assigned.
