Born on the Fourth of July

Happy Fourth of July, everyone!

Spread your wings — welcome to Sky Peck.

This game started with a question from my son: "Can I play as a bird?"

Turns out you can. And not just play as a bird — you can be one. Sky Peck has no buttons, no joystick, no touch controls. You stand in front of the camera, spread your arms, and fly. Your body is the controller.

Like a lot of parents, I have mixed feelings about video games. We grew up on them and loved them — but look at gaming today: subscription fees for everything, and kids sunk into the couch with their noses buried in a phone.

Sky Peck is my answer to both. You buy it once and it's yours — no subscriptions, ever. And you physically can't play it sitting down. You have to stand up, step back from the screen, and move.

A level takes about five minutes of real flapping, jumping, full-body play — and trust me, that's plenty. I can barely handle ten minutes myself. (Testing this game is the best workout I've had in years.)

My son loves it. My wife loves it even more — the kid is off the couch, away from the screen, jumping around and genuinely happy. And here's the thing: it's contagious. Every time other kids see it in action, a line forms at our door.

That's why I built this website and added a leaderboard — so our friends, and now you, can join the flock and share the fun.

The best way to play? Plug your Mac into a big TV, step back, and take off. A laptop, iMac, or iPad works great too — anything with a camera and enough room to spread your wings. iPhone and Windows versions are on the way, so the flock is only going to grow.

Sky Peck was born today, on the Fourth of July, 2026. It felt like the right day for it.

Happy Independence Day! Spread your wings and get yourself some freedom.

Come and fly it

Sky Peck is a flying adventure your kid steers with their whole body. Spread your arms, flap, and the living room becomes the cockpit.

Or see tonight's Jungle, the leaderboard, or peck yourself a name in the Name Pecker.
